About the Open University Law Society

The Open University Law Society was founded by Richard Hand in 2002 while undertaking his LLB which he has subsequently completed gaining First Class Honours.

You find us now at the birth of a new era, a new committee has just been elected and we are hoping that we can continue to grow and expand our membership in excess of the 200 current members.

Our aim over the coming year is to act as the law students' voice in seeking to enhance & supplement the service our members receive from the Open University, to arrange interesting and worthwhile events/ visits all over the UK and to generally create a proactive and high profile Open University law student presence and perception in the minds of the legal profession. However, this being said although we are here to serve our members, it is envisaged that our efforts be aimed at all law students studying with the Open University.

The Constitution of the Open University Law Society

Below is the constitution of the Open University Law Society which is made available in Macromedia FlashPaper format.  Using the simple flashpaper applet, which is very easy to install, you can adjust the image size and navigate around the document with ease.  You can also print all or part of the document if you wish. See here for a quick tutorial.
