Macromedia FlashPaper Basics

It has become clear recently that many of our readers are struggling with the FlashPaper applet when it comes to viewing and printing documents - particularly application forms.  Here is a simple illustration that shows the features of the FlashPaper applet.  Basically you should regard FlashPaper as a window within your browser window, rather like PDF plug-ins.  Using the navigation tools on the top of the applet you can move around the document, enlarge the text - particularly useful if you find the screen size a little too small, and print out the page or the entire document through your favourite printer.

Don't be afraid of trying it out.  The best document to try it on is the OULS Constitution which is a multi-page document that will enable you to practice with the applet's functions.  If you have any problems don't hesitate to contact the webmaster.
