On-line services operated by OULS

The Open University Law Society is independent from the Open University but affiliated to OUSA, the Open University Students Association.  To this end we encourage students to make full use of the OUSA FirstClass conference facilities provided by OUSA and available to all registered OU students.  OULS is now able to offer its own conference facilities to registered users through our new web server.  These are currently in BETA testing.  In addition, OULS members and others have established some on-line conference facilities using the free MSN conference facilities.  Please note that, in line with OU and OUSA policy, the OULS recommends that the conferences not be used as a facilitiy for plagarism and we understand that the conference moderators will take care to remove offending postings and anyone who posts material that breaches these policies is liable to be excluded.

To sign up to the new forums click register on the forum main page (link below) and please choose a username that can be used to verify whether or not you are a member of OULS - if you do not you will not be assigned member privilages!

NEW: OULS Forums are Here!  These new forums are in BETA - feedback to the webmaster please.

For the time being we will still link to the old forums.  To be able to make use of these conference facilities you will first have to register with MSN (free) and then register with each conference that you are interested in.  The following conferences are available:

W100 - Rules, Rights and Justice: An Introduction to Law (NEW)

W200 - Understanding Law (needed)

W201 - Law: the Individual and the State

W221 - Employment Law and Practice (needed)

W300 - Law: Argreements, Rights and Responsibilities

W301 - Law - Ownership and Trusteeship: Rights and Responsibilities

OULS - Open University Law Society discussion group

Note for those who have seen that this page has been shortened - all of the previously noted external groups are now either totally abused by spammers or no longer functioning.
