OULS Christmas Party | Manchester | Saturday 5th December 2015

Our choice to cater to those who have requested main OULS events to be held outside of London (Manchester was the most popular in a recent OULS poll) has not been met with enough interest, therefore we have had to cancel the Christmas Party. A decision has been made to keep main events based in London as this has proved the most popular destination for members. If you would like to voice your opinion on other locations to hold main events such as the Christmas Party, then please contact james.sudworth@ouls.org.

The OULS wishes all of its members happiness over the festive period!

After much deliberation, polls, form filling and investigation, the decision has been made to hold the OULS 2015 Christmas Party in Manchester (which is accessible to the most amount of OULS members). On the evening of Saturday 5th December, the OULS will festively flock to Manchester for a dinner and dance at one of Manchester’s most amazing annual events, the VIVID Experience ‘Cirque de Lumiere’ Christmas Party, held at Manchester Central.

OULS Christmas Party ManchesterA 3-course dinner (as well as canapés and midnight breakfast) awaits you, whilst entertainers perform acrobatic masterpieces overhead, and for those who last the night amidst indoor fairground rides, circus acts, cocktail bars and dancing, there will be a midnight  ‘Survivors Breakfast’ served. Prepare to be transported deep into a world of magical mystery; a fusion of light and sound; a land that never quite exists; a skilful blend of powerful senses playing on the real and cautiously embracing the unknown…. The phrase ‘Cirque de Lumière’, translated as ‘Circus of Light’, pays tribute to the skill and innovative displays of a superbly talented cast, seamlessly supported by a spectacular light show….

The cost for the dinner (plus midnight breakfast), Cirque de Lumiere acrobatic show, disco, charity casino and fairground will be £65, although there is a nominal fee for fairground rides and group photography if you would like to make use of these facilities. The dress code is ‘dress to impress’, so don your finest tuxedos and cocktail dresses, and prepare for an amazing night of intense acrobatic displays whilst enjoying dinner by world master chef Simon Firth.

After some issues of non-payment of the Halloween event and the limited number of pre-ordered tickets available for the Christmas dinner, please can you ensure you make payment well before the hard deadline of the 30th November. Payment can only be made by Bank Transfer or PayPal for this event, details of which will be provided upon request. For more information about booking, travel arrangements, accommodation and menu choices, please contact james.sudworth@ouls.org without hesitation.
